L-3 Telemetry-West offers a wide range of capabilities, features, configurations and accessories for its SC160 Digital Transceiver (also known as the RT-1606(DSP)). The SC160 uses Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technology, which allows flash programming for easy upgradeability of features. Standard internal features of the SC160 include Frequency Hopping (ECCM), Voice Privacy/Encryption, Enhanced Automatic Link Establishment (ALE), Internal Data Modem (300 bps), Full Alphanumeric Keypad and LCD Display, Digital Antenna Tuning with memory, Built-In-Test (BIT), and 100 Field Programmable Channels. Optional internal features for the SC160 include MIL-STD-188-110A & -110B Modems for data communications up to 9600 bps, and MIL-STD-188-141A Automatic Link Establishment (ALE). The use of standard accessories provides the capability of numerous configurations, to satisfy various applications and mission requirements. Custom configurations and features may also be available upon request.
